The bracelet always confused me, just because it didn't seem to fit in with anything we'd seen of Jack's character. And of course, like Teal'c's face-caterpillar, it was never explained. But Daniel is so easy to blame – and he does stretch, prod and occasionally blur the limits of Jack's character. It's why the two of them are so fascinating, really. One reason, at least.
