magibrain: Peter Burke would like to know where you are at all times. (White Collar)

[Like others, I'm jumping on the "Peter survived" bandwagon.]

Hah! I feel like that resolution has been carried by majority, at this point.

Lawrence was a surprisingly fun character to write – especially as, about halfway through the writing process, I lost all ability to tell whether or not he was a villain. I feel like that would be another interesting aspect to the Chronicles of Peter Burke, Accidental Ruler of the World, because Lawrence is one of the most powerful sorcerers around, and clearly capable of a lot of good, even if he doesn't have entirely altruistic reasons. And even if he and Peter can't stand each other.

Other things that happened halfway through the writing process: I looked at the story and went "Wow, Neal, you're really failing at the 'try' part of the try-fail structure," and Neal – or the reaction simulation running in my brain – more or less looked at me and went "What do you want from me? Everyone has a magical demon friend!" Which I wasn't sure would make for a satisfying story, to be honest. ^^ I'm glad it came across as compelling and not frustrating!

Thanks!
