I occasionally start replies, and then earmark them to reply to later, and then months pass, and then I start agonizing over whether or not it would be rational/appropriate/welcome to respond to them, and then more months pass while I'm agonizing, and then I eventually slink away and pretend the comments never happened.

But they're always still there. Waiting. Like the telltale heart.
