I love this - the full circle (pardon the pun) feeling, the wandering lost through halls that are frightening in their familiarity, the way Arrom is so rooted in Vis Uban and unsure of the way these people expect him to (metaphorically, if not physically) fly.
I want to rec these three stories. :) Do you have a name for the series as the whole? A String of Wooden Beads or some such? Do let me know.
