...I never do settle on what Riftpower Daniel should get. Sometimes he winds up an empath. Because it's funny. (Sometimes it gets in the way of plots the magibrain wants to do.)
Harkness is a rottweiler/bottlenose dolphin shapeshifter. He likes being a dog a lot better than being a dolphin, because as it turns out being a dolphin is not that useful for covert ops in Chicago. Though it is, on balance, probably better than the first Riftpower he had, which was a recurring ocular migraine that made him see auras that meant absolutely nothing.
