Hee, that intersection seems to be what prompts a lot of writers to write fic! (I mean, I guess that and/or the pretty.) I know I tend to mostly fic for fandoms whose characters I enjoy but whose canons leave much to be desired, usually in how they approach particular themes or characters. Or I just like to fill in backstory. That too.
I wish I had more time to watch all the newish TV shows that have been cropping up, but I'm afraid if I start, I may end up becoming too addicted at a time when I really can't afford it. >_>
