Life loved its little ironies.

It's a peculiar feature of my writing style that I can get up to 20k on a project and not have the first chapter finished yet.
(The first chapter is not 20k words. The first chapter is only about 5.5k words, which still seems excessive to me, but whatever.)
This story, if I ever manage to finish it, is going to be stupidly long.
[ETA] For added fun, and because I am furiously vacuuming the cat, some screenshots of my current White Collar fic folder and the Hurt/Comfort Bingo fic folder (which is overwhelmingly White Collar):

and the sidebar of my Short Story Scratch project in Scrivener, which is how I organize... some of my short stories, these days:

My organization scheme makes sense to me, which is about what you can say for it. Also, you may notice that I have a bad habit of starting far too many things at once, and very few of them are wise projects by any stretch of the imagination. And then there are fics for projects and challenges and prompt fills for people that have been languishing in there for months upon months. But, you know, I'll finish them some day. Possibly. Maybe.
